Magdalena Tul has released a new single titled 'Empty Town', along with an accompanying music video. Magdalena came up with the idea for Empty Town during a bicycle ride to her last recording session before the Coronavirus pandemic hit and forced everyone into lock down.
For Magdalena, to see an empty town on the television, and to feel its atmosphere whilst being in the centre of it, are two totally different. stories. It was all of this that made her want to capture the emotions into a song and a picture. However, with Poland being on lockdown, Magdalena found a clever way to get her song out, by enlisting the help of her 12 year old son.
"Yes, I, the perfectionist, entrusted the whole production to a 12 years old man, who is also a co-composer of Empty Town because his arrangement inspired me to write the melody."
This marks the first song of her career that has not been recorded in a professional studio. The song is available on YouTube as well as many streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon Music, iTunes Store and Tidal.
Magdalena Tul released her first single 'Full of Life' back in 2004, and since then, has gone on to release many more singles and albums. In 2011, she represented Poland at Eurovision in Dusseldorf with her song 'Jestem'. She has performed in many other concerts and television shows since then, including The Voice Poland in 2013 and Open Mic UK in 2020.
