Spain | Madrid cancels PrePartyES 2020 due to Coronavirus alert

Sad news has come in from Spain today. Eurovision-Spain.com, the most important Eurovision website in Spanish, and the organizers of PrePartyES in Madrid, have announced through their website, the cancellation of the fourth edition of this event due to Coronavirus and the State of Emergency declared by the Government of Spain this afternoon.
At the time of writing this news, Spain is the second European country with the highest number of Coronavirus cases (More than 4,300 cases, of which 50% are in the Community of Madrid). In an exercise of responsibility with the delegations and the artists, the public and their own team, Eurovision-Spain.com has decided to cancel PreParty, which was scheduled for April 10th and 11th. Spain thus becomes the first country to cancel an event related to Eurovision 2020 due to this pandemic. Next week, the Eurovision-Spain team will inform the public of how to proceed with reimbursement of tickets.
At the moment, PrePartyES 2020 has been postponed until April 2021. However, there is the possibility of celebrating it on another date, in case Eurovision also delays its celebration date due to Coronavirus. If so, it might be held in parallel to the new date of Eurovision 2020.
From the Eurovoxx team, we send our support to our Eurovision-Spain colleagues, who have faced the most difficult and sad decision in their 20-year history.
