Eurovision 2020 | Alicja Szemplińska will represent Poland in Rotterdam

After 4 long Semi finals and the Final today, 23 February, we have finally received our representative for Poland and it is Alicja Szemplińska with her song "Empires".

In the final of Szansa na Sukces, each act needed to perform two songs: one cover song and one original song, which will go onto become their Eurovision song. Alicja Szemplińska was one of three finalists, along with last year's Czech representatives, Lake Malawi who finished in second place with "Lucy", and Kasia Dereń who was in third place with "Count on Me". They all competed for public and jury sympathy as the winner was determined by 50% of jury and 50 % televoting.

Alicja Szemplińska is 17 years old and comes from Ciechanów. She is currently studying at the I High School Zygmunt Krasiński. Prior to Szansa na Sukces, Alicja participated in The Voice of Poland, in which she was the winner of season 10.
