Eurovision 2020 l Ana Soklič is the winner for Slovenia
We have now reached the end of the long selection process in the Slovenian selection for Eurovision 2020, and after the grand final of EMA tonight, X has been crowned the winner and will go on to represent Slovenia in Rotterdam for the 65th version of Eurovision Song contest.
For months have we been able to follow Slovenia's new way of trying to choose their representative trough an online selection before the EMA 2020 final. EMA Freš was an online national final where two acts were chosen to join 10 artists in EMA that had already been chosen as pre qualifiers.
The EMA final was held in Ljubljana and was aired on RTVSLO 1 and also online for the ones that couldn't watch it on television.
The twelve acts in the EMA Final:
Simon Vadnjal – "Nisi sam"
Saška – "Še kar lovim tvoj nasmeh" (qualified from EMA Freš)
Gaja Prestor – "Verjamem vase"
Ana Soklič – "Voda"
Inmate – "The Salt"
Manca Berlec – "Večnost"
Tinkara Kovač – "Forever"
Božidar Wolfand Wolf – "Maybe Someday"
Parvani Violet – "Cupid" (qualified from EMA Freš)
Klara Jazbec – "Stop the World"
Imset – "Femme Fatale"
Lina Kuduzović – "Man Like U
After the first round of voting, ten acts were eliminated, leaving just two acts in the running to represent Slovenia at Eurovision 2020. Ana Soklič and Lina Kuduzović advanced to the super final, where they had the chance to perform their songs again, with Ana coming out on top.
