Norway | Liza Vassilieva has won semi final 5 of Melodi Grand Prix

Tonight, the fifth and final semi final of Melodi Grand Prix took place, with Liza Vassilieva being crowned the winner as the representative for Northern Norway with her song "I Am Gay". Liza joins Kristin Husøy, Rein Alexander, Raylee and Magnus Bokn in the final that will take place next weekend on February 15th in Trondheim. Liza won her duel against Kevin Boine, and went on to beat Elin & The Woods in the Gold Duel.
Northern Norway's pre-qualifying song is "Hurts" by Tone Damli. Tone rose to fame in Norway after her participation in Norwegian Idol in 2005. She has since gone onto release many albums and hit singles, and even participated in the Norwegian version of Dancing With The Stars. This will not be the first time that Tone will be participating in Melodi Grand Prix - she finished in second place to Alexander Rybak and "Fairytale" in 2009 with her song "Butterflies".
