Serbia | Beovizija final scheduled for March 1st


Today, we finally find out more details about Beovizija, the Serbian national selection for Rotterdam. During the day, the Serbian national broadcaster RTS announced the dates of the semifinals and final, as well as when the songs will be released.


The first semi-final are scheduled for Friday 28 February, the second semi-final a day later on 29 February and the final will be held on 1 March. We also learned that all the semi-finalist songs will be released on February 6 at noon on RTS's official Youtube channel.


For the second year in a row, the competition will be held in the RTS studios. It is known that in each semifinal there will be 12 competitors, the top 6 from each semifinal will reach the finals. The winner will be chosen from a 50/50 combination of juries and public vote.


A couple of weeks ago, the 24 artists competing in Beovizija were announced. The competing artists included the likes of Sanja Vucic, who represented Serbia in 2016, as part of the group Hurricane, as well Sanja Bogosavljevic, who provided backing vocals for Serbia's winning entry "Molitva" back in 2007.

Last year, Nevena Bozovic represented Serbia with the song "Kruna". She qualified from the first semi final and came in 18th place in the grand final. The team spoke to Nevena last year in Tel Aviv, which you can check out in the video below:
