Italy | Raphael Gualazzi and Francesco Gabbani, among the contestants of Sanremo 2020

Amadeus, artistic director of the Festival di Sanremo, published yesterday the list of contestants of the 70th edition of this historic contest. Among them are two Eurovision alumni: Raphael Gualazzi, who represented Italy in 2011, and Francesco Gabbani, who participated in 2017.
Gualazzi represented the country in 2011, marking the return of Italy after 14 years, and won the silver medal thanks to his song "Madness Of Love (Follia d'amore)". Gabanni did it in 2017 with the song "Occidentali's Karma", but he had to settle for a 6th position in the grand final despite him being one of the favourites of that edition.
In addition, numerous faces of the Italian music will repeat their experience in the great festival: Diodato, Elodi, Enrico Nigiotti, Le Vibrazioni, Marco Masini, Michele Zarrillo, Piero Pelù, Irene Grandi and Giordana Angi.
The most controversial name on the list is Elettra Lamborghini, granddaughter of the famous car manufacturer Ferruccio Lamborghini. She is a television celebrity who has participated in reality television programs like Geordie Shore, Super Shore and in the Spanish version of Celebrity Big Brother.
In addition, RAI has published the first promotional video of Sanremo 2020, which will take place from 4th to 8th February. In the video, we can see a young Amadeus excited for every Sanremo edition seen since his childhood.
