Sweden | SVT announces a Melodifestivalen Podcast

November 20, 2019

Earlier this week, Melodifestivalen's official Instagram account teased their followers that a reveal of something fun was coming up. This lead many fans to believe that a artist reveal was in the horizon, but alas, it turned out that the reveal was for something equally as fun, a Melodifestivalen podcast!

What do we know about the podcast so far? We know that the Podcast will be called "Mellopodden" and that the first episode will be released soon, with the release of weekly episodes after that. The podcast will be in Swedish and cover all things Melodifestivalen, including all the newest updates. The host of the Podcast will be Sofia Dalén, who has acted as the online host for Melodifestivalen this past year, with different guests joining too.

What about the artist reveal? Well, according to Melodifestivalen's official Twitter, we will find out the artists for Melodifestivalen 2020 "in the not-too-distant future", so we will know the artists soon! Melodifestivalen 2020 will take place between 1st of February and March 7th 2020 and will visit Linköping (February 1st), Gothenburg (February 8th), Luleå (February 15th) and Malmö (February 22nd) with Andra Chansen in Eskilstuna on February 29th and the grand final in Friends Arena, Stockholm on March 7th.
