Norway | Melodi Grand Prix 2020 final will be held in Trondheim

Norwegian broadcaster NRK have revealed that the final of Melodi Grand Prix 2020 will take place in Trondheim, Norway's third biggest city. The show will be held at the Trondheim Spektrum on February 15th. This will be the third time that Melodi Grand Prix will be held outside of Oslo; in 1985 and 1989, the show was held in Stavanger.
Project Manager for Melodi Grand Prix 2020, Stig Karlsen, has said of the 2020 contest:
"It is high time that we arrange the finals somewhere other than in Oslo, and we are very much looking forward to throwing a party for everyone in Trondheim on February 15th. People can expect a huge show, with confetti, pyro and great artists with great songs. It will be a fantastic show in Trondheim."
The Mayor of Trondheim, Rita Ottervik, has had this to say about the contest coming to her city:
"It will be amazing to showcase our new beautiful hall for the whole country in such a show. The opportunities this provides for those living in the area to come and join are absoloutley fabulous."
Melodi Grand Prix 2020 will begin on January 11th and will comprise of five semi finals taking place every Saturday up until the final on February 15th. All of the semi finals will be taking place at the H3 Arena in Fornebu near Oslo.
