Eurovision 2020 | Montenegro withdraws from Eurovision 2020

Montenegrin broadcaster, RTCG, has confirmed today that Montenegro will not be participating in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest set to be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands next may.
Previously, RTCG confirmed Montenegro's preliminary participation at the forthcoming song contest, though has now decided to withdraw their application.
The broadcaster went on to say that it tried it's very best to participate in the 2020 edition of The Eurovision Song Contest but it didn't go to plan in the end. RTCG was given an extension by the EBU to confirm their participation beyond the October 10th deadline, but failed to meet the requirements and therefore decided to withdraw from the 2020 contest.
The Montenegrin broadcaster has also withdrawn from the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 and stayed out of the contest for two years, and returned to participate in 2013.
In 2019, Montenegro were represented by D-Mol, with their song "Heaven" and placed 16th in the first semi final. Below, you can watch Eurovoxx's interview with D-Mol in Tel Aviv!
