Eurovision 2020 | City of Rotterdam reveals key provisional dates for Eurovision 2020

The City of Rotterdam has announced a list of important provisional dates regarding its hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020.
Rotterdam City have published the agreement that was signed with Dutch broadcaster NOS, and within this are the key provisional dates for the song contest due to be held in may next year.
These dates include:
Reference Group Meeting: 11th & 12th November 2019, 27th January and 8th March 2020
Host City Insignia Ceremony & Semi Final Allocation Draw: 28th January 2020
Opening Ceremony: 10th May 2020
Access to the Ahoy venue: 1st April - 23rd May 2020
Rehearsals and dress rehearsals: 27th April - 16th May 2020
The Reference Group will be meeting in the host city for the first time at the beginning of next week. All songs must be sent to the EBU by 9th or 10th March 2020, with preparations beginning at the host venue at the start of April. To date, 39 countries have confirmed their participation.
The opening ceremony on 10th May will officially mark the beginning of the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, and will welcome all delegations from all over Europe and Australia to the contest and to the host city.
