Eurovision 2020 l Everything you need to know so far about Australia Decides 2020
Australia created their first national selection last year called "Australia Decides". Most of it was because how big the interest had got for the Eurovision Song Contest since they started to participate in 2015.
SBS announced their participaction for Eurovision Song Contest 2020 on May 28th 2019. Later, on August 29th, they announced that Australia Decides is coming back to the Gold Cost for another year. SBS is going to collaborate with the broadcaster Blink TV to make this happen. 10 songs will be competing for the victory to represent Australia in Rotterdam next year and later this year the artists will be revealed.
Submission for songs are now closed, the final submissions were received on September 30th. However, the rules for submitting songs to Australia Decides is that you have to be an Australian citizen or pernament resident. If you're under 16 you need require permission from a parent or guardian. You can also enter more than one song, but each original song will need to be uploaded separately.
Hosts for this year's edition of Australia Decides, will be Joel Creasey and Myf Warhurst. They will have the responsibility to bring a good show to the public in Australia and present the best music for the night.
In association with the Queensland Government via Tourism and Events Queensland, the City of Gold Coast and Screen Queensland, Eurovision – Australia Decides will be presented at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th February and tickets for the Opening Night Show, Matinee Show and Live TV Final are now on sale.

7 February 2020 - Opening Night Show - 7:30PM
On Friday night, the artists’ staging and performances are revealed for the first time and judged by the jury. Be there as the contest heats up; the jury’s scores are worth 50% of the results in Saturday’s Live TV Final.
8 February - Matinee Show - 1:00PM Witness the spectacle of the evening shows at a family-friendly price and time.
8 February - Live TV Final - 7:30PM It’s your chance to be a part of the live TV broadcast when Australia decides which artist will be crowned winner of Eurovision – Australia Decides – Gold Coast 2020. Watch the performances, vote and find out who will go on to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in the Netherlands.
SBS Commissioning Editor for Entertainment, Josh Martin said:

Creative Director of Australia Decides, Paul Clarke, makes sure it will be a spectacular show. He said there will be some surprises in the format, and we will be surprised about who's going to compete next year in Australia Decides. So it will be interesting to see who's going to compete next year.
