The new Head of Delegation for the Czech Republic has been revealed as Cyril Hirsch. He will be taking over the role from Jan Bors, who stepped down a couple of days ago.
Hirsch is a production manager at the Czech broadcaster, Česká Televize. Previously, he has been the Deputy Head of Delegation at the Eurovision Song Contest for the Czech Republic.
His predecessor held the role of Head of Delegation since 2015, and announced his resignation in a lengthy post on his social media.
The Czech Republic will be selecting their entrant for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest on the 25th of January with a national final, Czech Republic Decides. This will be the first time they have held a televised national final since 2008. In the last two years, they have selected their entrant online with music videos instead of live performances.
