Junior Eurovision 2019 | Portugal releases 'Vem Comigo', Joana Almeida's song for Junior

After winning the popular singing contest for children in Portugal, 'Gala Internacional dos Pequenos Cantores da Figueira da Foz'. Joana Almeida was then invited to represent Portugal at the contest, by the broadcaster RTP. 'Vem Comigo', her song for Junior Eurovision has been released today.

'Vem Comigo' (Come With Me), like the songs of other countries such as Spain and Italy, talk about the environment, and the awareness that children and teenagers have about the danger that Earth is in. It was composed by João Pedro Coimbra, the famous Portuguese musician and composer.

Sadly, Portugal have not had great success at Junior Eurovision in the past. It debuted in 2006 with a 14th place. Two year after its debut, Portugal retired to return after Salvador Sobral's victory at the senior festival, getting another 14th place, which to date is still the countries best result in the junior contest.

Do you like 'Vem Comigo'? What do you think of Joana's chances in Junior Eurovision? Could Portugal's luck change this year? Please tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
