Eurovision 2020 | The Belgian Eurovision entry will be revealed in February 2020

The Eurovision community was sent into a tither yesterday, as the Flemish broadcaster for Belgium, VRT, announced that they had chosen their act for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. At 10:30 CET it was officially revealed that it would be Hooverphonic that would have the honour of representing the central European country.
Yesterday's announcement came after days of speculation, and carried on the trend of Belgium being one of the first countries to announce their entrant. Although the song has yet to be revealed, further details have been given which suggests that the entry will be known in February next year.
Alex Callier, One of the bands members has said in an interview, that the song has already been written, albeit in a demo version, with the song consisting of the bands typical elements which will contain string instruments. Check out the Eurovoxx thoughts below:
This year's choice has certainly stirred up positive emotions among many of Eurovision's fans, who see the possible entry making the top 10 in next year's contest. The bands increased popularity in Belgium, has certainly ticked many of the correct boxes locally. It would appear that it's fourth time lucky for the band who have been asked by the broadcaster on three other occasions.
After the announcement yesterday, the groups front man said of the possible song, that it would have to be 'universal', and that the band, "need to reach a very bright audience, lovers of commercial and alternative (music). That is a challenge, I must say, but we have already proven that as our songs get played on all radio stations".
