Australia | Eurovision: Australia Decides to return for 2020


The Australian national broadcaster SBS have announced that their national selection, Eurovision: Australia Decides, will be returning next year in order to choose their representative for 2020.


As in 2019, it is likely that the national selection will be held sometime in February of next year in the Gold Coast Exhibition Centre, with Australian commentators Joel Creasey and Myf Warhurst to return for a second year as the hosts for the competition.


Last year the show brought us the likes of Courtney Act, Electric Fields and the 9th placer at Eurovision Kate Miller-Heidke. With the Creative Director of Eurovision: Australia Decides and the Australian HoD Paul Clarke stating that there will be "surprises in the format" and "some real surprises about who will be competing", we will have to wait and see who will be the potential candidates that could take the reins from Kate.


This year, Kate Miller-Heidke won the ticket to Tel Aviv, impressing everyone with their unique staging and coming in at 9th with 284 points. You can check out her national selection performance below:
