JESC 2019 | Belarus Launches Its Search For Their Next Junior Eurovision Representative

With today's announcement that 19 countries will compete at this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest, more news has come from one of the competing nations, Belarus who have officially launched their search for their next star.

The national broadcaster for Belarus, BRTC opened the submission window yesterday, and it runs until August 15th 2019, where they are looking for singers between the ages of 9 and 14.

The country has once again opted to use the same selection process as in previous years, where Belarus held a national selection, resulting in Daniel Yastremski winning the golden ticket in 2018. The winner will be decided by a combination of televoting, and jury voting.

Find out what Jess thought of Daniel last year below:

Last year Belarus was represented by Daniel Yastremski with the song, "Time". He sung on home soil, as the contest was held in Minsk. He scored a respectable 114 points, placing 11th. Only back in 2004 did the country place outside the top 10 where they finished 14th.

Who would you like to see represent Belarus? Please tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
