Netherlands | 'Dans Met Jou' As The First Song From The Dutch Junior Eurovision Pre-Selecti

Eurovoxx are ready to 'Dance With You' as the first song from the Dutch Junior Eurovision pre-selection has been released today. The song is sung by young Matheu with the title, "Dans Met Jou". The link can be found below.

Four songs will be released, with the next coming tomorrow, and will see all four competing for a place to have the honour of representing the Netherlands in Poland, Gliwice, this November. The national final will be held on September 28th 2019.

It was announced back in March of this year that a total of 50 singers were shortlisted that took part in auditions that have seen a final four selected for Junior Songfestival 2019. The national broadcaster put out a call for singers, and are now reaping the rewards of this.

The broadcaster over previous years have tended to flip between a televised national final, to an internal selection as they did in 2016. Despite being one of the only countries to have consistently been at every contest, the country last year saw a massive drop in viewers despite the countries good result. This was in complete contrast to most of Europe, that saw a big upshot in viewers with the Netherlands seeing the opposite to this.

Last year the country was represented by Max and Anne who were to sing "Samen". The song finished a respectable 13th place, scoring 91 points. They did better with the televote receiving 68 of them from the viewers at home.

What do you think of the song? Do you think Matheu has a chance of winning? Please tell us your thoughts below.
