JESC 2019 | Giorgi Rostiashvili Will Represent Georgia at Junior Eurovision

It may have only been just over a week since the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 came to an end, but fear not. The preparations for the Junior Eurovision are in full swing as Georgia have just announced their artist for the up, and coming contest that will be held in Gliwice, Poland this November.

Earlier today, Georgia held their national final Ramina, with Giorgi Rostiashvili winning it, and being the first artist selected for this years contest.

The national final was comprised of three singers all bidding to be the next artist to represent their country at the contest. They were, Ana Berishvili who placed second, Giorgi Rostiashvili who ultimately won, and Anastasia Garsevanashvili who came last.

The show was presented by David Aladashvili, and Lela Meburishvili, with the winner being decided by a three panel jury who awarded songs with a score between one, and ten.

There were no losers, as all performers were awarded prizes, whilst it was announced that Anastasia will also be travelling to Poland, and be the countries spokesperson when awarding the points.

This year's competition will be held in the Gliwice Arena, Poland on Sunday 24th November 2019, after Poland won the contest last year, and were given the first chance to host. So far a provisional list of ten countries have expressed their desire to "Share The Joy". It is expected many more countries will be on the final list to be announced in the coming months.

Last year saw a record breaking 20 countries compete that saw Tamar Edilashvili place eighth with the song, "Your Voice" after scoring 144 points.
