ESC 2019 | Madonna still yet to sign contract to perform at Eurovision

There has been a lot of media buzz going around about how Madonna will be giving a special performance at Saturday's grand final. However, the performance has now been put into doubt, as it has been confirmed that there has been no contract signed for the 'Vogue' singer to perform at the contest. The singer is set to land in Tel Aviv on Wednesday.

In a statement from the Executive Supervisor of the Contest, Jon Ola Sand, he said:

'The Eurovision Broadcasting Union has never confirmed Madonna as an act. We don't have a signed contract with her team, and if we do not have a signed contract she cannot perform on our stage.'

So unless Madonna's team signs a contract, she will not perform. This has come after it has been reported that the fee for her participation has increased from $1.35 million to $1.8 million as a result of the performance that she is wanting to do in the Expo Tel Aviv is more technical than anticipated. We will have to wait and see how this all plays out and if she will indeed perform.
