This year the 'Orange Carpet' event is happening Habima Square in Tel Aviv at 18:00CET. Once the Orange Carpet event has finished, people will make their way into the Habima Theatre, where they will be greeted by the mayor of Tel Aviv, Ron Huldai, the General Director of the Israeli national broadcaster KAN, Eldad Koblenz, and the contest's longstanding executive supervisor, Jon Ola Sand.

This year the carpet is the colour orange as a nod to this year's sponsor of the contest 'MyHeritage'. Last year the carpet's colour was blue sticking to the maritime theme of last year in Lisbon.
