United Kingdom | All Eyes On Micahel, As He Shows He Is Bigger Than Us

Welcome back to Eurovoxx's coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 rehearsals! We're already at day six which means today we will see the second rehearsals of seventeen countries, plus the big five and Israel, which drew second half of the second semi final - including the two current favourites to win! Join us all day on our YouTube channel, website & other social media for the latest updates and video content.

Michael first rose to fame when he entered the X Factor several years ago, and really made a name for himself when he won "All Together Now". His next challenge was Eurovision- You Decide which he easily won. Since then, he has been all over Europe trying to promote his Eurovision song, "Bigger Than Us", that has been warmly received at many of the pre-parties. His Eurovision entry has now see him land in Tel Aviv with a lot of expectation. The pressure maybe off him, as he is not favourite to win. However, Michael really wants to do well. He has done the United Kingdom proud anyway

During the first run through there were technical issues. The second, and third ones were a lot better. Michael as always, has nailed his vocals, and there didn't feel like there were any issues there at all. The same applies to the backing singers who bring an added element to the performance. During the national final performance, there was the worry that they would not be able to recreate this. Thankfully the BBC have got the Swede's in, and they have managed to cover all angles.

The colours are great, and you can see that there is an attempt to pull off something special, but somehow it fails too. Michael also tries to make more eye contact with the camera, and he has become better at it, but it is still not perfect. This is the first rehearsal though, and we are confident these fine details will be ironed out. Michael clearly likes to sing, but he needs to relax, and it will come across more genuine, and powerful. There has been several times that international press have said it is a good song. Also, during each performance there were visual elements that were different each time. Combine these, and you will have something special. Michael can sing, and the potential is so there, bring it all together, and the United Kingdom could have something special this year.
