Shalom Tel Aviv, this is London Calling. Well these are the words that may be uttered by Rylan Clarke who has been announced as the official spokesperson, when revealing the results from the United Kingdom at this year's Eurovision.
Earlier today. the BBC announced the news via Twitter, that he will provide the results for the United Kingdom this year. It will be no surprise to the fans of the contest, who have seen the television presenter grow, and fulfil his dreams on being part of the BBC's Eurovision team.
It was only revealed several weeks ago that Rylan would once again join Scott Mills on commentating for the semi finals. Scott has been doing this since 2011, with Rylan only joining him last year. He proved so successful amongst the fans, that he has earned his place in being there again this year.
Rylan has also been present at the national finals for 'Eurovision- You Decide', and is certainly stamping his mark on the Eurovision scene in the United Kingdom.
Today's news was posted on the BBC's official Twitter account.
This year will see the United Kingdom automatically qualify for the Grand Final, as it is part of the "Big 5" who help put the most money into the contest. Michael Rice was chosen as the representative for the UK this year, and is hoping to score better than SuRie last year who languished near the bottom of the table.
