Sweden | John Lundvik Promises Changes To Performance In Tel Aviv


Since winning the Melodifestivalen 2019 back in March, preparations for John Lundvik have been in full swing. He is now preparing to embark on the pre-party season where he will be reprising his Eurovison song to the many of fans that he has gained in the last few months.


In an interview with this years host broadacaster KAN, the singer has revealed that there will be changes made to his performance, when it comes to the competition. Although, he has remained tight lipped on how these changes will transcend on to the stage, and screen.


Of these changes John Lundvik said to KAN that,


"Now we're changing the number- in Sweden we had a kind of dark number, we want to make it a little bit brighter, and have a little bit more magic".

Currently John is in Tel Aviv filming his postcard which will appear on the screen before his live performance. His has been filming at the port of Tel Aviv, which has seen him roller skating. He is not a natural on four wheels, and admitted to being nervous of doing this.


John will be at London's Eurovision Party on Sunday, so this will be the first opportunity for many to see him sing his song live, since the Melodifestivalen win. Also present will be Michael Rice who will be representing the United Kingdom with the song, "Bigger Than Us". Both songs have been written by John, and it will be the first time in Eurovision history that a singer will have two songs in the contest at the same time.


This year, Sweden will be performing 8th in the second semi final on Thursday 16th May 2019. The singer is currently doing really well with the OGAE fan votes, and is expected to easily qualify for the grand final.
