This year Croatia will be represented by Roko Blažević who will be performing the song, "The Dream" which was written by former Croatian representative Jacques Houdek from 2017. Since winning 'Dora 2019' , the singer has been busy on the promotional trail singing his entry at various events to help promote it across Europe. In the last hour the official video to the song has been released, and is available to watch below on the official YouTube channel. It can be viewed below.
In less than an hour it has already received over eight thousand views, and is proving quite popular. Despite his young age, the singer is proving quite the hit, as his powerful vocals are leaving many impressed. The singer will have his chance to shine during semi final two when he performs 10th.
In the video Roko has ditched the wings, but kept with the white theme. He is wearing a white suit, and powerfully projects his voice alone in a room that contains many stairs. The video is interspersed with powerful nature images, along with clips of wars, and battle. It is quite a fitting theme that you can hear the despair in the voice, and the willingness for "the dream" of peace, and love to prevail.
Recently, the British entrant Michael Rice travelled to Croatia to perform on the HRT channel, and both singers did a duet which came across really well. Croatia are hoping that this year they will qualify after last year's disappointment, when Franka narrowly missed out on a qualification.
This year the country opted to revise their national final "Dora 2019" that saw Roko win both the public, and jury vote by quite a large margin, scoring 12 points from each. Can he "Dare To Dream" in Tel Aviv , and achieve, "The Dream" of winning.
