Cyprus | Tamta To Be Accompanied By Four Backing Dancers In Tel Aviv

The national broadcaster for Cyprus CyBc have announced further details in regards to Tamta's Eurovision performance. It has been revealed that she will be accompanied by four backing dancers.

The four dancers have been revealed as Lamin, Kenny, Niklas and Benjamin. It was announced several months ago that the creative director would be Sacha Jean- Baptiste. Tamta has already visited Tel Aviv to record her Eurovision postcard, and start her rehearsals for the performance. Check out Andy reacts below:

There has been a lot of hype around this year's Cypriot entry after the success of Eleni Foureira's "Fuego" last year. The same team that worked on that entry is also responsible for this years creation. Bookies have also favoured the entry too. It is not favourite to win, however the song is currently in 7th position to win.

Although she has not sung at Eurovision before, Tamta is no stranger to the contest itself having tried to represent Greece in 2007, where she placed 3rd in that year's national final. Last year the talented singer was approached by the CyBc to sing "Fuego" but due to prior commitments she had to decline. 2019 is the year for this star to shine at Eurovision. This year Tamta will be performing in semi final one on Tuesday 14th May 2019.
