Iceland | Hatari's 'Hatrið Mun Sigra' Official Video Released

Since their win at Söngvakeppnin 2019, the band Hatari are well on their way to bring Iceland their first qualification to a grand Final for their country in years. Yesterday, the official video for the band was released on the Eurovision YouTube channel. This can be viewed below.
Their national final performance has seen the group clock up nearly a million views. It has only been a day, and this video is also receiving a lot of views on YouTube attention. In the space of a day it has been viewed over fifty thousand times. Whether it be your favourite or not. It certainly has the people of Europe talking.
The video is certainly very Hatari, and despite the hard elements of the song, the video encapsulates the message of the performance quite well. It has also managed to display the beautiful scenery of Iceland very well too. We see Matthias the lead singer carried like a king. The rest of the band members dance as if they have been possessed. The scenery interchanges from Iceland to a dark construction site that almost echoes a nightclub. It is quite a cool, yet scary video. It feels almost apocalyptic.
It was also announced yesterday that the band had also won Act of the year in Iceland's music awards in the category of pop, rock, rap and electronic category. With the bookies they are currently in the top ten of countries to win the contest. With a strong message, and a performance that certainly makes them stand out from the crowd, this song cannot be ruled out, and maybe likely to score well.
Do you like the music video? Do you think it adds to the song? So you like Hatari? Please tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
