Cyprus | 3 Time Eurovision Participant Evridiki 2019 Eurovision Commentator!

OGAE Greece have announced that veteran Eurovision participant Evridiki will provide commentary for Cypriot viewers of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, on CyBC (Cypriot National Broadcaster). She will be joined by popular Television host, Tasos Tryfonos

Evridiki (Real Name Eurydice Theocleous) should be no stranger to Eurovision Fans, she represented Cyprus in 1992 and 1994, coming in a respectable 11th place on both occasions. She made her most recent appearance in Helsinki in 2007, again representing Cyprus but sadly failing to qualify placing 15th in the infamously difficult 28 country strong 2007 semi final. I'm sure I would not be alone in wishing for her to make a comeback sometime in the future!

This year, the fate of Cyprus lays in the hands of Tamta, who will sing 'Replay' in Tel Aviv. She has a tough act to follow, last year Cyprus managed to place 2nd (A record for them) thanks to the efforts of Eleni Foureira and her 'Fuego'. No doubt, Cyprus will be hoping to beat their record in Tel Aviv!
