Malta | Michela Pace unveils her Eurovision 2019 entry 'Chameleon'
This year, Malta changed things up when selecting their Eurovision Song Contest 2109 participant. Unlike past years which has seen the national selection show 'Malta Eurovision Song Contest', instead the Maltese broadcaster PBS opted to use new talent competition 'X Factor Malta' as the method of selection. Launching last October, after a three month series contestant Michela Pace bested all the other auditionee's and was crowned the winner on January 26th 2019, winning the right to represent Malta in Tel Aviv. Today, her song 'Chameleon' has been released. Check it out below!

Born in 2001, 18-year-old Michela Pace impressed Maltese audiences from her first appearance on the X Factor, singing Bonnie Tyler's 'Total Eclipse of the Heart'. Her momentum did not stop there, continuing to wow the judges and viewers alike with each performance and remaining as the favourite to win from the very first episode to the very last. Eventually, she won over Owen Leuellen in the finale and then the search for a song continued.
With an incredible tone, Michela could practically sing anything and she showed on the show how she could tackle varying genre's, singing uptempo as well as emotive power ballads. Whilst many expected Michela to perform a huge ballad, instead it looks like she'll be standing out with 'Chameleon', an up-tempo track with reggaeton influences. Give it a listen here:
