Mr Melodifestivalen himself, Christer Björkman has been confirmed today on Sveriges Radio that he will once again be the Producer of the Eurovision Song Contest that will be held in Tel Aviv in May.
The news today will see him have this honour for the fourth consecutive year. He has now been producer when the contest was held in Stockholm, Kiev, Lisbon, and now Tel Aviv. He confirmed this new himself when he was interviewed by the radio channel.
It is an important job to have, and he has always been vocal in his opinion that that the host nation needs to incorporate some of the tradiitonal elements of the host nation into the contest.
Christer is known as Mr Melodifestivalen having been the producer since 2002. In that time has transformed the show into what it is today. In the 90's, and early 2000's the show was in decline with the viewers. However, with hard work he has managed to transform it into one of Sweden's most watched programmes. Amidst all of this, the songs tend to regulalry chart high, and is seen as the best national final amongst fans.
He is due to step down from his current role in Sweden's Melodifestivalen in 2021. Last night saw Sweden chose John Lundvik to be their representative in Israel. Could Christer have another success on his hands?
