Ireland | Sarah McTernan To Represent Ireland With '22'

After all the recent press speculation, and assumptions over Ireland's next Eurovision entrant. It has finally been revealed by the national broadcaster for Ireland, RTÉ that this year's representative will be Sarah McTernan who will perform '22' in Tel Aviv.

This is not her first stint at Eurovision, as she made a name for herself last year when she tried her luck with San Marino's 1 in 360 show. However, she was unsuccessful and didn't make the live shows. This year is different, as she will make it all the way to Tel Aviv. She has released one single, "Eye of the Storm". Sarah is also know for appearing on "The Voice Ireland", where she finished third. Check her Eurovision entry out below:

The song is written by Janieck, Marcia "Misha" Sondeijker and Roulsen was released by RTÉ this morning, and finally ends the speculation over this year's artist. It was only yesterday that Janet Devlin posted a video on YouTube confirming that she was not the countries act in Tel Aviv.

The song itself is very modern, and has quite a unique sound, and twist. There are elements of Amy Winehouse in Sarah's voice. The song could stand out, and do very well.

This year Ireland will compete in the second semi final, and perform in the first half of the show. Can Sarah continue on from Ryan O'Shaughnessy last year and qualify?

Have you heard the song? What do you think Ireland's chances of qualifying this year are? Please tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
