Switzerland | Luca Hänni to Represent Switzerland with "She Got Me"


Today it was announced that Luca Hänni shall represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.


Luca Hänni has been selected as the artist to represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, he was announced today as the Swiss entry as well as the song he shall be competing with "She Got Me" he shall be performing in the first half of the second semi final, per request of the broadcaster SRF due to clash of broadcasting on the night of the first semi final, which was approved by the EBU prior to the semi final draw in January.


Luca is 24 years old, he rose to fame after winning the German talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar in 2012, he since then has released four studio albums and been performing and touring across Switzerland and Germany. He has also featured briefly in Eurovision before, in 2017 he was the Swiss spokesperson and announced the result of the Swiss jury. The music and lyrics for "She Got Me" were done by Luca Hänni himself, alongside Laurell Barker. Mac Frazer, Jon Hällgren and Lukas Hällgren. You can hear Luca's entry for Switzerland below.




The entry has a real cool slick, Latino vibe that will definitely appeal to Europe, Australia's voters. The video accompanying it is also slick, and well executed. There is no doubt Luca will have a plethora of new fans across Europe with this hit.
