Israel | KAN Releases Teaser For Their Entry, 'Home'

March 7, 2019

This year Israel will be represented by Kobi Marimi who won Israel's national final earlier this year.  Since then, he has been busy preparing his Eurovision song.  This will be released on March 10th 2019, where Euro fans will finally find the predecessor to Netta.

However, the national broadcaster KAN has today revealed a small teaser for of the song "Home" that will be sang on home soil this year.  It is mysterious as it sees Kobi stepping into the spotlight, and you can hear a small five second clip of the song.  Check it out below:

The song "Home" was selected after a call for songs was announced last year.  Over 200 entries were submitted, and received by the national broadcaster.  Ultimately it was "Home" that was chosen.  The song was written by Ohad Shargai, and Inbar Weitzman, and will be premiered this Sunday March 10th 2019.

The contest is short of ballads this year, with Kobi himself calling it "touching".  He also stated, "from first hearing the song, it really moved me, and I connected to it immediately.  I thank the committee for picking a song that fits me perfectly, and in a few days everyone will be able to share my emotions".

Although, there isn't much to the teaser, it does give a hint of it being a moving, and haunting ballad.  In a contest of diverse songs, this could stand out.  It could certainly do well with the juries.

Have yoy seen the teaser?  What do you think of it?  Please tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
