Greece | Katerine Duska releases Eurovision entry 'Better Love'

After a number of announcement postponements, Greek broadcaster ERT confirmed that singer-songwriter Katerine Duska would be their Eurovision Song Contest 2019 representative on February 16th and after a short wait, Katerine and ERT have released her Eurovision entry 'Better Love'!  orn in 1989, Katerine was born in Quebec, Canada however moved to Greece several years ago where she is an Athens based performer. Her unique and soulful voice has sometimes been compared to Amy Winehouse but she has shown with previous releases 'One in a Million' and 'Won't Leave' that she maintains an indie pop/soul sound. Her Eurovision track 'Better Love' - written by Katerine alongside Leon of Athens and David Sneddon - 

 

The song premiered at 18.30 CET on the Greek news channel, with broadcaster ERT streaming the reveal live on their Facebook here. The official video - which you can find below - will then follow with a premiere at 21.00 CET.

 

Are you a fan of the song? The 2000s Eurovision powerhouse Greece has struggled in previous years, only qualifying for the final one out of the last three attempts. They last won in 2005 with Helena Paparizou's 'My Number One' however the new team involved in the organisation of the Greek entry have said that they are very much looking to get back in the game at the top of the scoreboard! 14 years on, will this be the year they take the top prize once more?
