Iceland | Söngvakeppnin 2019 voting figures revealed

Icelandic broadcaster RÚV has revealed the full voting results for Söngvakeppnin 2019. The voting was composed of two rounds - the first round saw a ten member international jury and the Icelandic public voting for their favourite out of all five acts. The two acts with the highest score went on to the superfinal, with the winner being decided by 100% public vote.

Denmark – Molly Plank – Head of Delegation
Greece – Eleni Foureira – Cyprus Eurovision 2018
Iceland – Þorsteinn Hreggvidsson – Program Director
Iceland – Sigríður Thorlacius – Singer
Iceland – Haraldur Freyr Gislason – Iceland Eurovision 2014 (as part of Pollapönk)
Norway – Anders M. Tangen – TV and radio Broadcaster
Sweden – Karin Gunnarson – Music Consultant
The full results of the first round were as follows:
Hatari – “Hatrið mun sigra” - 24,891 jury - 47,513 public - 72,404 total
Fridrik Omar – “Hvað ef ég get ekki elskað?” - 21,061 jury - 25,356 public - 46,417 total
Kristina Bærendsen – “Mama Said” - 20,582 jury - 17,391 public - 17,391 total
Hera Björk – “Moving On” - 20,102 jury - 9,488 public - 29,590 total
Tara Mobee – “Fighting For Love” - 16,274 jury - 3,170 public - 19,444 total
After the first round of voting came to a close, the two superfinalists performed again, after which the Icelandic public voted for the favourites. Hatari were declared the winners with a total score of 62,088 votes with Fridrik Omar achieving 52,134 votes.
