Georgia | Oto Nemsadze wins Georgian Idol and will perform "Sul Tsin Lare"

The grand final of Georgian Idol came to a close tonight, with Oto Nemsadze being crowned the winner and subsequently winning the ticket to Tel Aviv with his song Sul Tsin Lare. He won with a decisive 44.13% of the public vote.

A total of 4 acts made it through the final show, with each act singing the song they hope to sing for Georgia at Eurovision 2019. The songs that the 4 finalists sang were all chosen by the acts themselves from a selection of shortlisted songs that were submitted to, and reviewed by, the broadcaster. This will the second Eurovision song for Georgia to be sung entirely in Georgian. The 4 finalists and their songs were:

  • Liza Kalandadze – 'Sevdisperi Zgva'

  • Oto Nemsadze – 'Sul Tsin Iare'

  • Giorgi Nakashidze – 'Sul Tsin Iare'

  • Giorgi Pruidze – 'Me Mjera'

The winner was decided by 100 percent public voting, with SMS voting and Facebook voting also playing a part in deciding the final outcome. Oto tried to represent Georgia before, competing in their national selection in 2017, where he placed 10th.
