Iceland | Hatari to Eurovision 2019 with 'Hatrið mun sigra'!
Tonight Iceland chose their hope for Tel Aviv in May. Their national selection 'Söngvakeppnin' took place and like every year, the winner will represent the country at Eurovision. Hatari will perform the song 'Hatrið mun sigra' in Tel Aviv.

After two semi-finals over the past few weeks, five finalists were left to perform on the stage. The running order was as followed:
Friðrik Ómar - "Hvað ef ég get ekki elskað?"
Kristina Skoubo Bærendsen - "Mama Said"
Tara Mobee - "Fighting For Love"
Hera Björk - "Moving On"
Hatari - "Hatrið mun sigra"
After all five acts gave their best, the first voting round commenced which consisted of a 50% televoting and 50% jury voting two acts proceeded to the superfinal. these two acts were:
Hatari - "Hatrið mun sigra"
Friðrik Ómar - "Hvað ef ég get ekki elskað?"
After both of the superfinalists performed their song again, the televoting opened and the Icelandic public got the chance to vote for who they wanted to represent them at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. it was won by Hatari, who will now fly the Icelandic flag in Israel, performing 'Hatrið mun sigra' in the first semi-final on the 14th of May!
