Sweden | Måns Zelmerlöw teams up with Dotter for 'Walk With Me'

March 2, 2019

Måns Zelmerlöw was a hero to many back in 2015 when he came out on top and won the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with 'Heroes', taking the contest back to Sweden for the sixth time. Since then he's been a very busy man, hosting Eurovision 2016 in Stockholm, releasing an array of songs including 'Fire in the Rain' and 'Glorious'. On a personal level, he's moved to the UK and also started a family with his fiance. Two and a half years after his last release, Måns is back! Teaming up with Melodifestivalen 2018 participant and singer-songwriter Dotter on the track 'Walk With Me'.

No official video has been released for 'Walk With Me' yet but hopefully one will be arriving soon! In the mean time, you can check out the official audio for the song posted on the Warner Music Sweden channel below. The song is also available on streaming platforms Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer for all your streaming needs!

The song is an emotional mid-tempo ballad with an anthemic vibe in the chorus where the percussion and bass kicks in. Måns and Dotter emote perfectly the heavy lyrics to the song, with both voices complimenting each other really well. It's a well-timed return for the Swedish pair as they will also be performing the song live on tonights Andra Chansen episode of Melodifestivalen, debuting the song live. Speaking about the song in the press release, Måns said:

"It is a great, powerful song, with a lot of soul in. With a text about feeling that you simply cannot live without a person. That you found total foundation with someone. I saw it already from the start as a duet and Dotter always felt perfect as a duet partner."

Whilst Dotter added:

"It is a hugely strong song about not wanting to be left, finely tuned and down to earth, but still full of energy."

Let us know your thoughts of their song and if you're excited for it to be performed in tonight's Andra Chansen in the comments below and via our social media!

Check out the lyrics to the duet here:

[Verse 1: Måns Zelmerlöw]

Sick of sleeping with the light on

Chasing shadows with the brokenhearted

Running out of fools to hide from

But you always see the truth

[Pre-Chorus: Måns Zelmerlöw]

Yours is the hand that I hold

You're all I need

[Chorus: Måns Zelmerlöw]

Ooh, walk with me

I'm a million miles away from who I wanna be

Don't give up on me

I know I've made mistakes, just promise that you'll stay

Walk with me

And tell me that I'm never alone, never alone

Tell me, 'cause I'm tired of walking alone

[Verse 2: Måns Zelmerlöw & Dotter]

And even though the road is so long

I know you'll take me back to where it started

It seems as though I only go wrong

But you always see the truth

[Pre-Chorus: Måns Zelmerlöw & Dotter]

Yours is the hand that I hold (Mmm)

You're all I need

[Chorus: Måns Zelmerlöw & Dotter]

Ooh, walk with me

I'm a million miles away from who I wanna be

Don't give up on me (Don't give up on me)

I know I've made mistakes, just promise that you'll stay

Walk with me

And tell me that I'm never alone, never alone

Tell me, 'cause I'm tired of walking alone

[Bridge: Måns Zelmerlöw & Dotter]

Ooh, I will never break the storm without you

I will never ever face this world alone

You're the only one that keeps me grounded

Promise me you'll never let me walk alone, alone

[Chorus: Måns Zelmerlöw & Dotter]

Ooh, walk with me

I'm a million miles away from who I wanna be

Don't give up on me

I know I've made mistakes, just promise that you'll stay

Walk with me

And tell me that I'm never alone (I'm never alone), never alone

Tell me (Tell me, tell me), 'cause I'm tired of walking alone
