Tonight Sweden has gotten one step closer to selecting their Eurovision Song Conest 2019 representative! Swedish selection show 'Melodifestivalen' journeyed to Nyköping for their second chance round - Andra Chansen! The eight acts who placed third and fourth in their heats were paired up across four duels and the Swedish public had the full decision over which artist in each deal advanced to the finals next week in the Friends Arena!
The four duel pairings were:
Andreas Johnson - "Army of Us"
Anna Bergendahl - "Ashes to Ashes"
Vlad Reiser - "Nakna i regnet"
Nano - "Chasing Rivers"
Martin Stenmarck - "Låt skiten brinna"
Lisa Ajax - "Torn"
Rebecka Karlsson - "Who I Am"
Arvingarna - "I Do"
The public were able to vote via both telephone and the Melodifestivalen app for their favourites in each duel and a short period after each act in the duel performed, the results were announced and the four artists joining the eight finalists who qualified directly out of their semi final heats (placing 1st or 2nd).

Next Saturday night, the Melodifestivalen final live from the famous Friends Arena in Stockholm will culminate National Final season for another year and Sweden will get their chance to select their Eurovision 2019 participant. Sweden have placed in the Top 10 at Eurovision for 7 of the past 8 years so there is naturally a lot of pressure placed on the finalists!
