Iceland | RÚV Reveal The Running Order For This Saturday's Final

Iceland are just that one step closer to finding their next Eurovision act this Saturday. However, before then the national broadcaster for the Nordic nation have released further details of the running order of the final.

After last week saw a final two qualifiers, along with the broadcaster's chosen wildcard. It now looks as if Friðrik Ómar will open the show, whilst Hatari will close it. The running order is as follows:

1) Friðrik Ómar- "Hvað ef ég get ekki elskað?"

2) Kristina Skoubo Bærendsen- "Mama Said"

3) Tara Mobee- "Fighting for Love"

4 Hera Björk"- Moving On"

5) Hatari- "Hatrið mun sigra"

Kristina Skoubo Bærendsen is the chosen wildcard, and will be happy to have another chance at the gauntlet, and joining the four other qualifiers from the two semi finals.

As per the rules, all artists have opted to decide which language they would sing their possible Eurovision entry in, if it were to win Saturday. Therefore there is a possibility of hearing Icelandic being sung in Tel Aviv, as two artist have opted to sing in the native tongue.

The show which will be broadcast live from Reykjiavik will also see Eleni Foureira once again take to the stage, as she has been chosen as this years interval act. Previous finals, have seen the likes of Måns Zelmerlöw , and Loreen be present.

How Will The Winner Be Chosen?

After all five artists have sung, the phone lines will open. The two artists that received the most phone votes, along with the votes from the professional jury will advance to the "Super-Final". These two artists will sing again, and it will be completely down to the public to decide the winner. In a rule change this year, those votes already cast in the first round of voting will also be carried through, and added to the total number of overall votes.

The show will come live from Icelandic's capital this Saturday 2nd March 2019, and will be available to watch from 20:45 CET.
