Romania | Ester Peony will sing for Romania in Tel Aviv



Tonight saw the final of Selecția Națională, with a total of 12 acts all battling it out to win the chance to represent Romania at Eurovision 2019. In the end, it was Ester Peony with her song "On A Sunday" that was crowned the winner.


The final results of the final were as follows:


Ester Peony - “On a Sunday” (65 points)

Laura Bretan - “Dear Father” (60 points)

Bella Santiago - "Army of Love" (58 points)

Linda Teodosiu - “Renegades” (42 points)

Letiția Moisescu and Sensibil Balkan – “Daina” (40 points)

Vaida – “Underground” (35 points)

Trooper – “Destin” (29 points)

Olivier Kaye – “Right Now” (27 points)

Claudiu Mirea – “We Are the Ones” (19 points)

Aldo Blaga – “Your Journey” (14 points)

Dya and Lucian Colareza – “Without You (Sin ti)” (10 points)

Teodora Dinu – “Skyscraper” (7 points)


The winner was decided by a mix of and tele voting and international jury voting, which included former Eurovision winners Emmelie de Forest and Netta. Ester topped the jury vote whilst Laura was the favourite among the televoters.
