Slovenia | Zala Kralj and Gašper Šantl will sing "Sebi" for Slovenia

Tonight, or Super Saturday as it's otherwise known, has seen four countries select their Eurovision entries for Tel Aviv. From the Baltics, Estonia, and Latvia have selected their songs, whilst Croatia and Slovenia from the Balkan nations select their entries. Tonight has seen Slovenia select Zala Kralj and Gašper Šantl with their song "Sebi" to represent the country in Tel Aviv for the up and coming Eurovision Song Contest.

The country opted to use EMA once again to determine their artist for Eurovision 2019. The show which came live from the nations capital saw 10 artists, and songs all compete for their right to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest. There was no semi finals, with the 10 artists being chosen by the broadcaster.

This year was the 23rd edition of EMA, that has seen Slovenia use this process to select its Eurovision entry since 1996. A total of 103 entries were submitted to the broadcaster, which were narrowed down to the following ten performers:

  1. Kim – Rhythm Back To Me

  2. Renata Mohorič – Three Bridges

  3. René – Ne poveš

  4. Fed Horses – Ti ne poznaš konjev

  5. Ula Ložar – Fridays

  6. Lumberjack – Lepote dna

  7. Okustični – Metulji plešejo

  8. INMATE – Atma

  9. Zala Kralj and Gašper Šantl – Sebi

  10. Raiven – Kaos

The show was quite a complicated affair, that came in two parts. The expert jury ultimately decided on the two acts that would go head to head in the super final. They chose Zala Kralj and Gašper Šantl and Raiven. The super final then saw the public alone decide which song was to head to Tel Aviv.
