Gerogia | Tamar Lachkhepiani Is The Next Artist To Leave Georgian Idol


This year Georgia have opted to find their Eurovision entrant through Idol. Although, Eurovision artists have come from this reality show before. This will be the first time that it will be used directly to chose their singer for Tel Aviv. This method echo's Malta who have recently selected their performer.

Tonight saw the next edition of Georgian idol, that has seen another artist eliminated from the competition. This week has seen Tamar Lachkhepiani come last in the public vote. Tonight's results have seen Liza Kalandadze come top for the second week in the row. The results from tonight is as follows:

  • Liza Kalandadze – 33.03%

  • Nini Tsnobiladze – 10.39%

  • Giorgi Pruidze – 12.59%

  • Giorgi Nakashidze – 12.59%

  • Oto Nemsadze – 23.09%

The judges on tonight's show were:

  • Stephane Mgebrishvili (Eurovision Georgia 2009)

  • Natia Todua (Winner of The Voice Germany)

  • Tinatin Berdzenishvili (Director of Media at GPB)

  • Zaza Shengelia (CEO of Bravo Records)

There now only remains five acts left. Can you spot the winner amongst them.

It was 2016 when Georgia last qualified for the Eurovision final. Last year, the broadcaster opted to chose their entrant internally which saw Ethno -Jazz perform their song, "For You" which came last in the semi final 2, only scoring 24 points. Can the change in selecting its song herald a qualification for Georgia?
