United Kingdom | Michael Rice Wins Eurovision: You Decide
Tonight the United Kingdom held the fourth instalment in their national final format Eurovision: You Decide, and after a few tweaks to the format this year, after all was said and done, it was ... Michael Rice with the song "Bigger Than Us! who was voted the winner and will represent the nation in Tel Aviv.

In a new twist on the six song final, it saw two acts go head to head with the same song, in conflicting styles and genres, with the winner of each duel being decided by the panel which consisted of former Saturdays member Mollie King, ex-JLS boyband member Marvin Humes and X Factor alumni and co-commentator of the 2018 semi finals for the BBC, Rylan Clark-Neal. It was also hosted in Salford for the first time, at the recording studios Dock 10 inside the MediaCity, after previous editions being hosted in London and Brighton respectively. The host was also hosted by last years hosting duo Mel Giedoryc and Mans Zelmerlow
The panel sent the following three songs through to the public vote:
Michael Rice - "Bigger Than Us"
Jordan Clarke - "Freaks"
Kerrie-Anne- "Sweet Lies"
The three duel surviving entries faced a public vote and it the public decided that ... would be the winner and represent the United Kingdom in Tel Aviv. The United Kingdom have already qualified for the final being a member of the Big Five, but shall perform their song for the first time in the second semi final's jury final.
