Portugal | Running Order For Festival Da Canção Decided



The national broadcaster for Portugal has revealed today the running order for the two semi finals of the Festival da Canção.


The first semi final will take place next week, and see eight singers compete for four places in the Grand Final. The singers, and shows are as follows:


Semi Final One- !6th February 2019


  1. Ana Cláudia – Inércia

  2. João Campos – É o que é

  3. Soraia Tavares – O Meu Sonho

  4. Calema – A Dios

  5. Conan Osíris – Telemóveis

  6. Ela Limão – Mais Brillante Que Mil Sóis

  7. Filipe Keil – Hoje


The first semi-final will take place at RTP's studios in Lisbon, and will be hosted by Sónia Araújo and Tânia Ribas de Oliveira.


Semi Final Two- 23rd February 2019


  1. Lara Laquiz – O Lugar

  2. Dan Riverman – Lava

  3. Mariana Bragada – Mar Doce

  4. João Couto – O Jantar

  5. Madrepaz – Mundo A Mudar

  6. Surma – Pugna

  7. Mila Dores – Debaixo Do Luar

  8. NBC – Igual A Ti


​The second semi- final will take place at RTP's studio's in Lisbon, and will be hosted byJosé Carlos Malato and Jorge Gabriel.

The final will consist of eight singers, and will be held in the Portimão Arena on the 2nd March 2019. The semi finals will see a professional jury, and the public each have 50% say on who they want to qualify. However, the final will be different and see regional juries, along with the public deciding on the winner.


This year Portugal opted to allow the artists to write their own song, and those composers who did submit entries were all responsible for selecting the artists to sing them.
