Eurovision season is well under way, with the national broadcaster for Hungary, MTVA, holding their third, and final heat. Tonight saw the final heat of A Dal that saw ten more acts compete, with six more artists proceeding to the next round of Hungary's national final. Over the next two weeks, we will see Hungary hold two semi finals to whittle down the field before ultimately choosing their Eurovision 2019 representative on Saturday 23rd February 2019. The following acts performed this evening:

  • Bogi Nagy – Holnap

  • Kyra – Maradj még

  • Leander Kills – Hazavágyom

  • Mocsok 1 Kölykök – Egyszer

  • Monyo Project – Run Baby Run

  • Petruska – Help Me Out Of Here

  • Ruby Harlem – Forró

Returning as host this year is Freddie, who represented Hungary at the 2016 contest. Joining him will be singer Bogi Dallos. Miklós Both and Misi Mező will return as jury members while Lilla Vincze and Feró Nagy will join the jury. Last week The Middletonz, Acoustic Planet, Fatal Error, Bence Vavra, The Sign and yesyes all qualified.

The juries each awarded a score out of 10 to each performer (with public live app voters also having a score averaged and added to the total after the performances), with the highest five total scores automatically securing a place in the next round. The bottom five are then opened up to a public vote with the highest vote getter joining the others in the semi final.

The six qualifiers were:

Nagy Bogi - Holnap

Papai Joci - Az Én Apam

Petruska- Help Me Out Here

Ruby Harlem- Forró

Mocsok 1 Kölykök- Egyszer

USNK - Posztolj

Next week the first of two semi finals will take place, where half of the finalists will be chosen.will take to the stage on the 23rd February 2019. The previous edition of the show saw a big drop in viewing figures, and it is hoped that tonight's show will not follow the same pattern.

Hungary's national final has three shows left, they are:

Final: 23 February 2019
