Also, part of tonight's proceeding was last year's Junior Eurovision runner up Angelina who told of her experience in Belarus. France made a surprise return to the Junior contest last year, which resulted in a second place finish. Could tonight's winner Bilal Hassani do the same, or better in Tel Aviv.
In recent years France have performed a lot better in the recent contests, and it is hoped that this will be repeated in May. Last year, France were represented by husband and wife duo "Madame Monsieur" with their song, "Mercy". Ultimately it placed a respectable 13th, scoring 173 points.
