Portugal | Festival da Canção 2019 Entries Released
This afternoon, Portuguese broadcaster RTP released the 16 songs that will be competing in national selection show 'Festival da Canção' in a months time in an attempt of representing Portugal at the 64th Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Tel Aviv, Israel in May 2019. The full list of entries + links to their songs can be found below.

As per tradition, the composers are mostly invited by RTP and are tasked with securing their own performers for their song - usually somebody they have in mind because of their voice or story. In addition, one composer was chosen as the open call winner whilst another won a 'Masterclass' to get to the festival.

Let us know which one of the songs is your favourite. Portugal won for the first time in 2017 and after a successful hosting, could we be have seen the next Eurovision winner among this set? In 2018, Claudia Pascoal & Isaura represented Portugal with 'O jardim' - which unfortunately placed last in the final (26th) however we loved the girls. Check out Andy's interview with them:
