Australia | Final Three Eurovision: Australia Decides Acts Revealed


Tonight, or this morning if reading this from the land of Down Under, Australia have finally revealed who the final three artists who will be taking part in their debut national selection show, Eurovision: Australia Decides.


The final three acts finally round up the list of ten who shall compete in the Gold Coast on February 9th 2019 and they are: Alfie Arcuri, Ella Hooper and Tania Doko, keep reading below to find about a little bit more about each artist.


Alfie Arcuri is most known for winning The Voice Australia back in 2016, mentored by Delta Goodrem, the thrity year old singer is not the first artist from the franchise to be competing in this selection, as shall be alongside class of 2018 contestant Aydan Calafiore. If successful, Alfie would be the second The Voice Australia winner to go onto Eurovision also, the first being Anja Nissen who won the show in 2014 before going onto represent Denmark in 2017. Alfie is also a proud and out LGBT member and claims to use his music to promote and messages directed to others within the community to accept who they are and it is ok to be who they are also. Ella Hooper is a rock musician. She states rock as her "weapon of choice" and is a songwriter also, she was a member of the band Killing Heidi, who ran for a stint between 1996 up untitl 2006 when they disbanded before reforming again in 2016, in that first year ten life span the group managed to fun ARIA Music awards, include Ella and two other bands mates receiving the ARPA "Best Songwriter Of The Year" award in 2001. A few months ago, Ella released 'To The Bone' ... could this be a taster for what we can expect?


Tania Doko is most known for being one half of the duo Bachelor Girl, which was formed in 1992 and ran and had a career as a duo for eleven years, their debut single "Buses and Trains" reached number four on the Australian charts, and although they didn't ever top that feat with the singles that followed they went onto chart in four other charts, after Bachelor Girl Tania moved to Sweden and became the full time songwriter, although she has not revealed her entry, she had said she has co-wrote the song she shall be singing in the selection.
