A week ago, the tough decisions were being made in Israeli national selection show 'HaKokhav HaBa L'Eurovizion' when the numbers were cut from 70 down to 20. Each of the top 20 were then paired up and dueled with the winner of each duel making it to the next stage. Following that, two losers were saved as wildcards and now we have our Top 12 who are now gearing up for a second round of duels commencing on January 19th. The remaining 12 will once again be paired up to duel for survival in the competition. In a new format that has not been used for the past two years, the Israeli song will be selected via a national selection show incorporated in to the HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion format to select the song.
